Artifact 002 reimagines Manhattan as a damaged digital archive, with the city remaining intact at street level while its upper structures progressively disappear into compression blocks, missing data, and fragmented image files.

Recognizable architectural forms emerge through layers of film grain, distressed textures, scanlines, and digital interference. As the skyline rises, detail gives way to distortion, making the city feel like a memory being reconstructed from incomplete information.

A restrained palette of navy, cream, black, and red highlights gives the piece the character of an aged print while preserving the sharp contrast of the corrupted digital elements.
