The First Artifact T-Shirt | Soft Error Artifact Series
A monument older than the record, reconstructed from incomplete data.
At the center of Artifact 001 is Stonehenge, the prehistoric stone circle of Wiltshire whose purpose, construction, and history still remain partially unresolved.
For this piece, the monument is treated like an archaeological scan recovered from a damaged archive. The lower stones remain detailed and recognizable, while sections progressively collapse into wireframes, point-cloud fragments, missing texture maps, compression blocks, and incomplete digital geometry.
Heavy film grain, halftone texture, scratches, and distressed print effects give the image the character of an aged archaeological document colliding with a failed modern reconstruction.
A muted palette of stone gray, aged cream, deep forest green, charcoal, and burnt red accents keeps the piece weathered, archival, and deliberately imperfect.
Part of The Artifact Series, a collection that transforms iconic locations into fragmented digital memories.
